This Saturday, March 5th, 9:00 AM, at Canyon Crossing Retreat Center, 1651 E. Old North Road, Sand Springs, OK. $5.00 at the door.
2. For Sunday, March 6
(a) Dr. David Whitlock, President of Oklahoma Baptist University, will be our guest preacher in both morning worship services. After the late worship service, there will be a lunch where you will have an opportunity to meet Dr. Whitlock as well as hear about some of the programs at OBU. This lunch and meeting time is open to any one interested in learning more about OBU, especially to students and their parents. The price of the luncheon will be around $7 to $10. (b) The Baylor Accapella Choir will perform a concert in our Worship Center at 7:00 p.m. This concert will follow the PROTOS hour for adults, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
3. On Sunday, March 13, the next session of our Pastor’s First Glance Class will begin. If you have recently joined or have been visiting FBC Tulsa and wish to take a closer look at this fellowship of believers, please make your reservation for the March sessions of First Glance by calling the Pastor’s Office at 594-5019. The two sessions, ending March 20, will meet in the Church Parlor at 9:45 a.m. and will be led by Pastor Deron Spoo.
4. Volunteers Needed at The Springs! The Springs need children’s workers to assist in the children’s ministry for the month of March. Many of The Springs workers have March conflicts and therefore there is a great need people to help. The children’s area is solid, growing regularly, and there is anticipated growth through Easter. 6. Community Ministry
URGENT: The Caring Center needs new or gently used men’s jeans, casual slacks and shoes. The shelves are almost empty, so please drop off your donations at the Caring Center .
7. Missions
Our March Mission Action Project focuses on DaySpring Villa. DaySpring Villa is a domestic violence and homeless shelter for women and their children. This ministry provides for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of these women in crisis. At this writing, 395 women have come to Christ at DaySpring and many more have reaffirmed their faith. You can help by restocking paper products like toilet paper, diapers, pull-ups, and feminine hygiene items. You can also donate your used cell phones for fundraising purposes and remember that volunteers are always needed. For more information, please contact Wilma Lively at 918- 245-4075.
8. Preschool Ministry
Enrollment has now opened to the community for the First Steps Summer and Fall sessions! First Steps is a part-time developmental preschool for babies (6 mos.) through Pre-Kindergarten. For an enrollment form or for more information, please call 918-594-5028.
